The word VISA is exciting right? But the act of getting a VISA is something to be dreadful about, specially for Filipinos. The burden is always on our part to prove that we are coming back to the Philippines. Hence, the frustration and exasperation while we are on the process of getting one.
Let me assure you though that Getting a Canada Visa is painless. Seriously. Infact, my preparation took more time than the actual processing time. I remember submitting my application online at around 4 in the morning. Received a confirmation from CIC in the afternoon. And by 9pm the same day, got a Letter of Approval. Unbelievable right?
So let me share with you how I got my Canada Visa in one day.
A) PREPARATION:
* Visit this page – http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/getting-started.asp
Click Determine Your Eligibility. Answer the questionnaires and wait for the result. They will let you know immediately if you are qualified to visit Canada. On top of the Checklist you will see this: VISITING CANADA – Your Personal Checklist. Based on your answers, you may be eligible to come to Canada as a visitor. To apply online, you will need this personal checklist code _____________.
* Print the said Checklist because you will need it upon application.
* The checklist will show you the Step by Step process on what to do. So it is important that you read and understand those before applying online.
NOTE: I chose to convert all the documents below into PDF Files because it was easier to upload.
B) SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:
b.1. Itinerary, Travel – See how I presented this below:
Date – Arrival at La Guardia Airport, New York City.
– New York City Tour, Shop, Sleep in Hilton Hotel.
In other words, tell them where you are going and what you are planning to do from arrival to departure in details. Your schedule will tell them if you are indeed planning to be a tourist or not.
b.2. Fill up all the Forms.
– IMM5257B , IMM5257E, IMM5484E, IMM5645E
C. PURPOSE OF TRAVEL
– I wrote a Formal Letter addressed to The Honorable Consul, Embassy of Canada, Manila, Philippines.
– I explained that my husband and I am traveling to the United States on such dates and that I would like to see Niagara Falls, both the New York Side and the Canadian side.
– I stated the Booking No. of the hotel we will be staying at while in Canada.
– I also stated that on the 2nd page of my letter is the copy/pasted Airline Tickets as Proof of Travel.
D. PROOF OF ASSETS:
I made a summary of the following:
d.1. Business Assets – our main business is buying and selling of land. So I stated all of our titles. And the business bank accounts, showing the details, duration and balances.
d.1. Personal Assets – any properties not related to the business. Vehicles (model, type and year). Bank Accounts showing the details, duration and balances.
E. PASSPORT , STAMPS AND VISAS:
The CIC website allows only one attachment per requirement. That is why it is a must that you summarize everything. I found it easy with the documents. But with scanned copies, it was kinda difficult.
I scanned everything. Then, cut the scanned copies and pasted them to a new file document. Then converted that document into a PDF file. I don’t know if that makes sense to you. But it worked for me.
F. DIGITAL PHOTO
The checklist has specifications regarding this. Ask for a soft copy from the photo company whom you took the id so it’s easier to download.
G. BUSINESS REGISTRATION (Upload the scanned copy of your Business Permit ).
H. TRAVEL HISTORY – I attached the filled up Form IMM5257B_1 . You will find this form in the CIC website. This form showed where I’ve been in the last 5 years. So it helps if you are a traveler. 🙂
I. FINALIZATION – After uploading all the documents, I reviewed them before paying the fees online using a credit card. At the time of application, the fee was CAD $100.
J. CONFIRMATION THROUGH EMAIL. Wait for the acceptance confirmation through email. After which, you will receive another email stating the result of your application.
Below is the Letter I received:
Dear
This is in reference to your application for temporary residence. A decision has been made on your application. We require your passport to finalize processing your application.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada
I sent a Printed copy of the Letter above, my Passport and a Manager’s Check through LBC at the address stated on their website.
After 7 working days, I got my Passport back with a Canadian Visa stamped on it. 🙂
Like I said, the preparation was more tiring than the application itself. 🙂
What amazed me was the fact that I didn’t have to go to Manila for an interview! Awesome right? 🙂
I am hoping that this article will help you in your Visa application for Canada. Feel free to ask me if you have more questions. And let me know how your application went.
Till next time everyone!
Be sure to come back for my exciting Canada trip. 🙂

Having met a lot of people in my line of work and hearing some sad stories about money matters, I thought of sharing some views about saving which I found very effective per my experience.
What worked for me though may not work for you , so I am not saying that you should do the same. However, I am thinking that if you have no savings at this point in your life, then maybe you will learn a little from what I am about to write.
As most of you know, I came from a very poor family. I worked my way from the bottom to the top. The keywords there are hard work. Not use someone else to better one’s self. I value my experiences, despite all the hardships, because I’ve learned so many lessons from it. And if not for those difficulties, I would not have strived so hard to be where I am today.
I am glad that I grew up poor because I wasn’t exposed to expensive things. I wasn’t used to having anything I wanted on a whim. My family had to do without, most of the time. But my childhood was very happy, despite the lack of material things thereof. I was an honor student since my elementary days. I found it a blessing that I have aunts who donated monies so I can have a new dress when I graduated valedictorian back then. Thinking about it now, I get teary eyed. And thankful to God for having blessed me with not just intelligence, but his guidance and wisdom , as I follow my “walk with faith” on a daily basis.
So here are some of what I’ve learned over the years.
1) Saving Money is a decision one has to make everyday. In my case, I ask myself do I need this? Or this is just a want? If the answer is , yes I need it. Need it really… not just justifying a want. 🙂 Then, I decide to purchase it. If it’s just a want, then it means that I can live without it. Looking at a Louis Vuitton bag in Singapore and Los Angeles the previous years, I know that I can afford it. But I couldn’t see myself buying something that expensive when I do not need it, no matter how much I liked it. 🙂 I asked myself, what could possibly be my best reason in buying it other than saying that I have one or two or three. lol I am not judging. Each of us has our reasons in doing what we do. I am just saying that I cannot find one good reason to indulge in such a whim. So I content myself in buying the cheap version in a local store in Davao.
2) Borrowing Money intelligently. If one is in business , it is okay to borrow from banks. For instance, if your money is earning more in your investments. then I believe that it is okay to leave such monies there so it will continue to grow. And just borrow from the bank if you need to purchase real estate at a lower interest rate.
Calculate how much is your loan interest rate per annum compared to the interest rate you earn from the business. If the income is higher compared to the interest payments, then I would go for it. If it’s the opposite and I really need to purchase that real estate, then I pay cash instead.
On a small level, if you are earning P15k per month. And have no savings, I am saying that you should not borrow to buy an expensive phone or any gadget. That is not an intelligent decision. And will surely put you behind. My suggestion is this – read my #1 tip. 🙂
Example, I pay for a post paid plan. It comes with a free phone every other year. This year, what came in the mail was a Samsung Note 4. The point of the story is this – I do not buy expensive phones. I wait for the free ones given to me. Been doing that for years. That means, if you have no postpaid plan, and no savings to buy for a new one – DO NOT BORROW. Wait until you’ve saved enough to buy the one you like. Or buy a cheaper version. But then again, that’s just my two cents.
In the Philippines, we have a lending scheme that’s called 5/6. The essence is that if you borrow 100, you pay back 120. That’s 20% increase of the original amount. If you borrow at that rate, then make sure that you earn more than 20% so that you will be able to save. If you know that it won’t bring you a higher Return on investment, that means you are sinking. Then do not borrow at that rate. Simple.
3) Investments, Investments, Investments! This is radical. So it’s okay if you tell me I am crazy. 🙂
Years ago, I thought of dividing our income into three parts. One part went to savings. The second portion went to investments. The third part went to expenses. Ahh yes! Of course, it was difficult. The savings and investments were non-negotiable. Seriously. I know, only crazy people does that right? lol So not being able to use two parts of our income, we made sure that our expenses were just enough for what we need. No extra expenses in other words. It taught us discipline. Most of all, team work. I think that’s nice for husbands and wives to practice. We had one goal in mind. And we made sure that we reached that goal.
Fast forward to now, did we make it? Yes and more. 🙂 Now, I can afford to retire if I want to. I can travel wherever I want if I want to. Believe me when I say that the sacrifices we made back then paid off. Thank God. It is just a matter of perseverance and prioritization.
Another issue I want to mention with regards to investments – I have met people here who lost their monies on bad investments. My comments are these –
a.) Never go into business that you do not know.
b.) Do not invest in something that you do not understand. Ask and research. Do your due dilligence. If it’s too good to be true, then it is too good to be true in most cases.
c.) If someone gives you a business proposal, where ONLY your money is at stake. Say no. Why, most people here do not care specially if it does not involve their money. So don’t walk, run away… That’s what I would do.
d.) On lending investments, ask for a real estate collateral. Just don’t give away your hard earned monies without something in return, e.g. – draft a mortgage contract through your lawyer or prepare a promissory note. Those are admissible in court if they do not pay. Bottom line is, protect yourself, first and foremost.
My tip on lending without documents – give only what you can afford to lose or give away. I’ve read so many posts in facebook where people ask their friends to pay for their debts. lol . If you have to do that, chances are you already lost your money.
e.) Safe Investments – time deposit. Just know your banks. And remember, PDIC is only P500,000.00 . Then, there are Treasury bonds. Real Estate (please check the titles through the Register of Deeds always). Stock trading is nice if you buy for a long term investment. But if you choose short term trading, I think that’s risky if you don’t know much about it. So does currency trading. I used to be a currency trader. So I will not recommend that if you do not know anything about it. Insurance , medical and life insurance are good investments. If you are working, the cheapest medical insurance is your Philhealth. That’s a big help right? So if you’re working and has no Philhealth, ask your boss. You are supposed to have one.
4) Living Within Your Means. No, that’s just not a phrase you read on books. It’s not a suggestion either. It is a way of life. Really.
Knowing what you can and cannot afford, do not splurge on things you do not need. Hoping that God will bless you with more money to pay off your credit card, etc. Yes, in His goodness, God will always provide. BUT please think – we have to be responsible as well. This is why so many of us are below the poverty level. The hope that God will take them out of such situation. Without doing anything to change their way of lives. It is not okay to spend your payroll or income on useless things just to be able to say that you have this and that.
That said, do not go on vacations with the “bahala na” attitude. You know, in the hope that manna from heaven will pour upon you one day. Nope, maybe 1% of us can get that lucky. lol …. So if you know you cannot afford it, then don’t be tempted.
You do not have to have everything that’s advertised on tv. Really. 🙂
You know if you like bags so much and you want originals, then visit your local ukay – ukay stores. 🙂 There is nothing wrong with it. I buy from them actually. They are a lot cheaper than buying the brand new ones. ha ha What you save there , goes back to your bank account. That’s a win-win situation right?
5) Budgeting. Make a spreadsheet at the start of every year. Write down January to December. Then below it, write your payables and / or possible expenses. From there, you will know how much money you will have left. That should help you pay off your debts. And help you save more.
Then try the 3 part-way of handling your resources. Like I said, my style was radical. But it worked for us. Maybe it will work for you too.
Stick to your budget. No justification. I promise you, it will pay off one day.
6) Being successful. Accept that blessing gracefully. Say thank you to God as often as you can. Do not let your success go to your head. Remember, God can take away everything with just one click of his hand. So be humble. Help others if you can and when you can.
Our resources are God’s way of helping his children on earth. But never dole out to those who can work. Instead teach them to “fish”, so to speak. I believe that “dole outs” will just teach other people to become parasites. I think we have the responsibility to teach those we can to be more responsible. That’s the only way we can break the cycle of poverty.
It’s only January now. You still have 11 months to fix your finances. 🙂 Good luck and God bless. I hope that my simple tips will help you as much as it did me. The hubby calls me kuripot (stingy to my foreign readers). In my mind, if I can get the same thing at a cheaper price, why not? Whatever I save , will help me buy more properties. That’s my end goal. So maybe, you should set a target this year. And save for it.
Again, happy 2015 everyone! 🙂

January 1, 2015
Everyone was excited because the whole family is going on our New Year Get-away at Banana Beach Resort in Madaum, Davao del Norte. My family and I have been there several times, but my staff were first timers.
We left Davao City around 9:30 in the morning. Travel time took about an hour. So we were kinda early as compared to our check in time of 2pm. So as not to waste our time on waiting, I immediately booked all of us for the forest tour. From the reception area, we were told to wait at the restaurant for our ride. While we were there, I ordered lunch to be served after the forest tour at the fishing village called The Spot.
A few minutes later, the passenger jeepney arrived. So off we went to BBR’s 60 hectare forest. I have always loved seeing animals in their natural habitat in all our travels, be it locally or abroad. So I find it fun to see again the monkeys and wild boars. More so, seeing the excitement on my nephews’ eyes made it worth the trip.
Wild boars above.
Mother and child.
He got wounded during the riot among the 3 colonies of monkeys living in the forest. 😦
THE ELEVATED WALK:
The canopy walk consisted of 9 bridges which cover at least half a kilometer. Walking inside the forest is always fun. But crossing from one end to the other through the canopy bridges is something else! Our laughter and shriek as the bridge moved in a wave-like manner, rang through the very quiet forest. ha ha
You know, the first time I took the elevated walk last year, I was so scared of it. I realized that it’s normal to worry at first. But this time around, I had so much fun with it. And well, you can see from the looks on our faces. he he
The tour wouldn’t be complete without walking under the dense forest surrounded by century old trees and other shrubs native to Davao province.
DAO Tree – Banana Beach Resort’s century old tree.
Meanwhile, as we were having so much fun, the oldies probably were getting bored where we left them off.
Mama and my aunt Ligaya, decided to stay in the vehicle.
While the hubby opted to rest as he was just recovering from a severe migraine attack. 😦 It’s a good thing that one of the owners of the resort talked to him while we were gone.
Around 12noon, we proceeded to the fishing village for lunch. Unfortunately, our food wasn’t ready. It got served to us after an hour. Hunger certainly dampened our mood. But we thought, okay it’s the new year so let’s start it with patience. 🙂 Easier said than done when…
At 2pm we were told that our rooms were not ready. That sucked considering that a) John developed another migraine due to the heat b) my father needed to rest since he has blood pressure problems c) CHECK IN WAS AT 2PM!
Believe me when I say that was a dilemma I do not want to experience again. It is one thing to wait. But when you have people getting sick and no place to rest at, such predicament is really aggravating. I find it unfair because our rooms were all paid in advance. And there is no excuse, at all, for the way we were treated.
You know, I love Banana Beach Resort, but what happened that day has really disappointed me and my family.
Moving on, after one long hour of waiting, the rooms were finally ready. Everyone decided to rest for awhile. And when the sun wasn’t that hot anymore, some went back to the fishing village to catch some bangus or milk fish for dinner. Yes, the guests can have the harvested fish cooked for a fee. I believe we were charged P180.00 for it.
The fishermen. ha ha. Emelie, Bonnie, Anne, Jener, Rey and Tadeo’s 3 cute children. 🙂
Family portrait before dinner. 🙂
After dinner , some of the family went swimming at the infinity pool. That’s one good way to cool off . It was funny though because one of my staff commented that there are mosquitoes in the pool. Everyone seconded. When we asked the staff, we were told that’s maybe, because there’s a forest and coconut plantation nearby. I guess that makes sense. And well, we live in a tropical country after all.
(L-R) Rey, Analyn, Jener, Emelie, my sister Pearlie and Bonnie.
Before we ended our day, we gathered at Mama’s cottage . Bonnie, the husband of Emelie, led us into a thanksgiving prayer. We also offered the year 2015 to God asking for his protection, guidance and more blessings as we face another year of our lives.
January 2, 2015:
It was an overcast day. And cooler than yesterday. Perfect for a day in the beach. 🙂 I’m glad that John has recovered from his migraine. My nephews were up and about. I couldn’t resist taking this picture of my youngest nephew, Wemce.
Some of us though are going home after breakfast, because our Real Estate booth in NCCC Mall will be opening today. The mall charges a steep penalty if tenants do not open on time. Tadeo and his 3 children looked sad. So did Rey. The kids could have stayed but they preferred to go home with their dad.
After breakfast, everyone went to the beach. We love to do some kayaking at BBR because there is a wide portion where the water is just above the waist. So safe right? 🙂
Riding in the banana boat is another fun thing to do at the resort. Or driving the speed boat! ha ha
That was exciting! 🙂
Or just enjoy watching the kids play. I have no idea what my nephew was doing here. lol
But check his face! ha ha
After all the water sports, we got ready for lunch at The Spot again. And had competition as to who gets the biggest fish. John offered a P500.00 reward. ha ha. And secretly whispered in my ears that I should win so he can save his money. hahaha… My husband is crazy!
And guess what! I really won. 🙂 Caught the biggest milkfish! I think they said that the weight was 1.2kls.
We brought home a total of 13 plus kls. But only paid 12kls because the management of Banana Beach Resort gave the biggest fish I caught for free. And I got another apology for their screw up the previous day.
All in all, despite all the hiccups we went through, our New Year Get-Away turned out to be fun.
Would we still come back to Banana Beach Resort? Maybe someday, for a day tour. I love fishing and kayaking after all. 🙂
Hopefully the services will be better the next time around.
Thank you Lord for all the blessings. And for letting all of us enjoy the start of 2015! 🙂

Today marks the first day of work in the Philippines. And I’m so happy to share this day with you. 🙂
I received an email from Alveo’s Davao In-charge , Kristelle Dela Rosa, with the attached photos.
It is such an honor to be featured by them because ALVEO , owned by the Ayala’s, is one of the biggest developers in the country.
We did this pictorial sometime in September 2014. But I am happy that it came out at the start of 2015.
Awesome start of the year for me! 🙂
Thank you ALVEO. And thank you to the clients who trusted me.
May God continue to bless us all….

Before 2014 ends, I’d like to thank God for the many blessings. May they be answered prayers or unexpected gifts, thank you father for your never-ending love. All honor is yours, my Lord.
My January started with a blast. January 1 brought us to Secdea Beach Resort in Samal Island. Yep, what better way to start the year than be at the beach with the people you love? 🙂
I feel blessed with my work. Got rewarded by February. 🙂
John and I with two of my best agents, Laura and Delaila.
March was a very tiring month. But had fun during the Family’s Philippine Road Trip by April. 🙂 – https://leawalkerblog.com/2014/08/25/road-trip-manila-to-davao-day-1/
Fish Feeding at Nuvali, Cavite with mama and the rest of the family. 🙂
The rest of April and May were all about work, work and work. But was able to spend a day or two in Samal Island to rest. I remember those months to be really exhausting.
June brought us John’s golden age. So we had a party in our Mambago property. And ended the night in Pearl Farm.
By now, I’m sure you’ve seen the pattern. lol In between my works/projects, I try to get away and spend time with family. I am so thankful that I have the option to do so.
I told you years ago that my father had a stroke. He had another big one late last year. We’re just glad that with the help of his doctors, Dr. Marcos Ong and Dr. Edward Cagape (thank you both!), he got better.
July brought us his 67th birthday. Thank God. 🙂 We asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He said – none. He has everything, he said. Rather than giving him a party, we all decided to stay overnight at Eden Nature Park to celebrate it.
Ahhh… August. One of the busiest months in any given year. That’s Kadayawan Festival in Davao. I don’t know why but work is at a peak during this month. And on top of that, we got so busy with our new office. We finally had it blessed this month. Woo-hoo , our permanent business address. Thank you Lord!
Thank you Fr. Bong Gonzaga for doing the blessing rite.
I also received a recognition on August. It felt like going to a Prom Night. ha ha
September brought us to a business event in General Santos City.
We were invited to Dole Plantation in Kalsangi, Polomolok a day after the event. This is where the “pleasure” part of the trip began. 🙂 I love the pineapple plantation there. It’s surrounded by pine trees and mountains. Reminds me of the Rocky Mountains. Less the snow of course. 🙂 The temperature at the plantation is a lot lower than Davao City. That’s one of the things I love about the place.
I got recognized again this month. Thank you Avida for giving me the chance to become a part of one of the Philippines’ most respected companies.
October, my birthday month. Where do I begin? I had so much fun with our road trip which as you know, started in New York City. Then off to Canada via Montreal. Back to the US through Buffalo , New York. Went to the Hershey Factory in Pensylvannia. Stayed a week in Washington, DC. Down to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. Then the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.
Awesome right?!
Now you understand why I always have that silly grin in my face. ha ha…
Before going back home last November, our vacation continues. Spent an early Thanksgiving with the family.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart. – Helen Keller
Visited Helen Keller’s birthplace in Tuscombia, Alabama.
So happy to see bisons again. 🙂
We found some snow in Chicago. Geee… it was -16’c (3’f) before we left for the Philippines. I love seeing and feeling the snow. For a few minutes, that is…. It’s so beautiful to look at. And it’s great with photo op. But that’s it! I admire those of you who work during winter time. God, that’s cold. I’m glad I have the Philippines to go back to, where sunshine is the norm, most days of the year. 🙂
December , one would think that things will wind down because it’s Christmas time. But hopping from one party to the other is exhausting too. Remember, I work during day time. So it’s difficult for me to stay awake till late at night. But duty calls. And for the love of my work, I go…
DMC-UPDI Christmas Party at the Apo View Hotel. (L to R) Jener, Tadeo, John, me, Laura and Analyn.
Santos Land Christmas Party at the Waterfront Insular Hotel.
My Allea Family has grown. There were about 80 people this time. Double than last year’s guests. Thank you all for being a part of our company.
At the Alveo Christmas Party in Seda Hotel.
The blessings didn’t stop there. I got more gifts! 🙂 Thank you for the recognition. And thank you po Lord for everything.
The year 2014 has been amazing to me. I don’t know what to say except thank you Lord. Again.
Here’s praying for you and me that we will all be as blessed in the coming year.
Happy New Year everyone! 🙂
Cheers!

Ausable Chasm is one of the tourist attractions at the Adirondacks Mountains in Upstate New York. It is a sandstone gorge located in Keeseville, New York (along US Route 9).
We’ve been traveling beside Lake George and Lake Champlain for about 2 hours already when we found Ausable Chasm.
As soon as we entered their driveway, a very bright orange leafed tree greeted us. Of course, I had to pose right? ha ha
Isn’t that beautiful? That is why we love road tripping in the US during fall. The tree colors are fantastic!
After the photo op, we walked towards the Visitor Center.
Inside the Visitor Center, there are memorabilias on display. There is a restaurant also where you can rest and eat before or after the tour.
OFF TO THE TRAIL:
This is just a short walk. If you plan to just see the falls. It’s so easy, just follow the trail and you’ll see it beside the path walk.
As a photography addict, I had to linger a lot of times, to take photos of the surroundings. I’ve seen bigger waterfalls, but Ausable Chasm , is charming. Plus with fall on its background, I found it so beautiful.
As we walked further, we found Rainbow Falls.
And then the Ausable Watershed.
Ausable Chasm offers tours. You’ll find more details here –
There are so many things to do, for those who plan on camping or staying overnight. But since we had to proceed to Montreal, we had to leave after a few hours.
On our way back, we found their parked Tour Bus. I guess, the season has ended. It was so cold when we were there, so I think being in a river on a windy day wouldn’t be fun. I know I wouldn’t touch the water that day. lol
Back on the road, a beautiful view of the falls just unfold before everyone who dared to cross the bridge. I found the gorge below me so deep , I felt my legs buckle. I told you before that I have a fear of heights. So that didn’t do well with me….
Got rewarded with this for trying…. 🙂
John took the photo below. I couldn’t look that far down. Gee, felt like my feet will buckle under me.
Ausable Chasm was a beauty to behold. If you like adventure, they have white water rafting and a lot of other activities during summer.
You know, New York City is nice. But if you prefer to be on the mountains, the Adirondacks is the place to be. There are so many options to choose from. Either, Lake George, Lake Champlain or the Lake Placid area, you won’t go wrong. The place is so beautiful , you would dream of coming back.
At least, I know I do… dream of going back, that is. 🙂

From our family to yours, here’s wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! 🙂
May God’s peace , love and happiness fill us this holy season….

One of the best experiences I had during this road trip was when we found an apple orchard and had the chance to pick them. Ohhh believe me, that was fun! I realized that a freshly picked apple taste differently from what we buy in the Philippines. Maybe because what we have back home is imported. And it’s kinda old when it gets to its final destination.
The ones we just harvested were juicy, sweet and oh soooo good….
Rulfs Orchard is just a little off I-87, the Adirondacks Highway, in Upstate New York. We’ve been travelling through Route 9 for the wonderful view of Adirondacks , Lake George and Lake Champlain. And finally came off through I-87 on our way to Canada. Yep, we went to Canada. I will be writing about that soon and how I got my Canadian Visa too. 🙂
We went inside Rulfs to inquire about the apple picking. We were told that it’s 5 dollars for a bag. 🙂 That’s not bad, I thought. I would have paid more just to pick an apple! haha… We don’t have those in my country, so yeah that’s like a dream come true for me. 🙂
After paying we were given an instruction on what to do. The owner said that it’s the end of the season already and there are not many apples anymore. I was somehow disappointed when she said that because I thought I would see, maybe 1 or 2 apples only. lol
I was so surprised when we saw the apple trees. I think there were at least a hundred apples per tree. And those are not many? Ha! I was in heaven. 🙂
See that silly grin! lol
Even John enjoyed it too. 🙂
I have never seen an apple orchard before. That goes without saying that it overwhelmed me. How I wish we can plant apples back home. I would be a farmer, to be sure. haha
Rulfs Orchard grow pumpkins, tomatoes , sweet corn and other vegetables as well. They also sell, apple pie. Apple donuts. And fresh cider.
The painted pumpkins look really cute. 🙂
If you ever visit the Adirondacks Mountains in Upstate New York, do not forget to include in your list to pick apples. It is a fun experience , specially if you have children.
